Alison Ann Sweeney was born in America. The actress is also an actor and host of a reality TV show. Sweeney is best known for her role as Samantha Sami Brady on the NBC soap show Days of Our Lives a character she portrayed under contract for the series beginning on January 6, 1993 until October 30th 2014. Sweeney has decided that enough was enough in the year 1999. She stopped following fads that included cabbage, grapefruit, and a variety of other diets. She made healthy modifications to her lifestyle, such as getting rid of soda and sweets and enrolled in boot camp-style classes. The result? She shed close to thirty pounds. Sweeney was raised in Ireland and is the mother of two brothers older than her. Sweeney left UCLA to be a part of Days of Our Lives after finishing her education in economics. Sweeney wed David Sanov on July 8th, 2000, after an engagement of more than three years.
